Geography of Industry in Bulgaria

Bulgaria industry is a major, structural sector of the national economy. With lectures "Geography of industry in Bulgaria" aims to increase students' knowledge about the genesis, development, territorial organization and regional management of the sector forming more than ½ of gross domestic product. Thus attempting to identify a relief scientific and methodological foundations of the geographical analysis of the industry and at the same time convincingly prove applied countries and geographical importance of research and scientific results.
Structurally course content is divided into three main sections. The first examines the issues about the nature and structure of industrial production, clarifies the differences that exist between industry and industry in Bulgaria are studied issues factor effect on territorial organization of industry, as well as methods for geographical analysis of industry and measuring regional performance industrial production. The second section focuses on the genesis and sector-territorial structure of industry in the country. The third section analyzes in detail the regional organization and regional management industry in Bulgaria. Special attention is paid to the study of regional and regional-sectoral restructuring of industry in the country in terms of transition to a market organization and management of the national economy.

In terms of content and issues, lecture course is a natural continuation and final classes, competencies and skills of students Socio-economic geography of Bulgaria. Therefore, the regional section of the development in retrospect, modern and perspective plan can and should be reflected upon and evaluated as a logical and practical managerial synthesis of economic, social, ecological, cultural and geopolitical processes in the country.
Relevance and necessity of the course of preparation of senior experts in the field of geography, is mainly determined by the approaches, principles, legal framework and methods used in the planning and management practices in the country. Zoning and administrative-territorial structure of Bulgaria form the basis (foundation) for conducting specific regional policy and strategic regional planning. In this sense, define the goal of the course: In addition special attention to the philosophy of politics, as well as directives and regulations for regional development in the European Union. The reason for this is that they "attend" and influence directly and indirectly on the development of administrative-territorial and territorial units of Bulgaria.
Regional Management of Environmental Policy

The topicality of the course is determined by the increasing anthropogenic influence on planetary and regional natural complexes, expanding legislation in this area at the global and regional level and increasing public demand for effective management of situations to natural disasters, crises and risks main objective of Course "Regional management of environmental policy" is to reveal and explain the legal, administrative and research nature of environmental policy and with it to justify the specifics of the regional approach in its planning, evaluating, organizing and coordinating certain territory. Due to the dominant geographical approach to the course content are provided and surveillance topics, which presents the organization and management of the activity on the environment in some economically developed countries - the US, Japan, Germany. The reasons are related to the Borrowing and transfer the positive experience in this area.
The course "Regional management of environmental policy" formed scientific worldview and practical skills in students for management of environmental policy at the municipal, provincial and district level in Bulgaria.
Geourbanism

The course develops Geourbanism always one of the latest areas of geographic knowledge - the geographical nature of cities. The task here is to clarify the concepts and terminology of the general theory of cities, the role of the surrounding environment (natural and social) in urban development. Significant place in the content takes the disclosure of the nature of modern urbanization worldwide and climate Urban space under its influence, the formation of spatial forms urbanization and the status and future of major metropolitan regions in the world.
It covers various issues of contemporary urbanization as related to spatial planning and sustainable development of cities and urban culture and living environment.
In this volume as an elective course for Bachelor, included questions about spatial patterns and methods of geourbanistichnite research and applications, as well as the main challenges for modern urban development - over-urbanization, poverty and pseudo-urbanization, immigration and terrorist threats and optimization urban living space.
